Lofoten, Norway

17 June – 23 June, 2019 – Intermediate to advanced trip

This will be an unsupported expedition in one of the prettiest paddling locations in the world. We will collect you from and return you to Solvaer airport and we will spend the first and last night in a small hotel or hostel.

Whilst the roads of Lofoten are often busy with camper vans and tourists the coastline is often remote and empty. The tides can flow strongly here and with the mountains so close the weather can be unpredictable. This is a trip for an intermediate or advanced paddler, with the skills of BC 3 star or above. Weather permitting we’ll paddle the North coasts of Vestvågøy, Flakstadøya and Moskenesøya.  With white sandy beaches and jagged mountains all around this is a wonderful landscape for paddling.

We will start on 18th June and end on the 22nd June. The cost of this trip is 1250 GB pounds for 6 days paddling. This price includes us providing you with a kayak, paddle and buoyancy Aid. We can rent tents and sleeping mats at £85 for the trip and cooking stoves with fuel as well as plates and cutlery for £30. We find that dietary preferences on expedition vary hugely so food is not included in the trip price. However, we will shop together at the start if the trip and can give advice as to what to buy if needed. If time is short we can pre-buy food for you in Norway.
