We will be based on a kayak friendly campsite in Cornwall with good showers each night.
We plan to run day trips on both the North and South coasts, taking in waves and tideraces and exploring secret beaches and harbours. The North coast faces the Atlantic ocean and there are a number of beaches renowned for their surf. The South Coast has the Lizard peninsula, usually offering shelter on one side but with top class rock hopping. We’ll work within the abilities of the group to improve our skills and enjoy playing in waves.
In a perfect week we’d explore Lizard Point, Lands End and Longships lighthouse and spend a day or two in the waves. There are plenty of sheltered estuaries such as the Helford River if the weather is very rough.
